Letter from Catherine Hutton to Dr. Kelly, 5 November 1822
By Alyssa Wu
My dear Sir
I return your two volumes
of Burke’s works with many thanks, and
I hope without their being the worse for the
advantage I have derived from them. I
know nothing like them; so profound, so
comprehensive. I have made many extracts
from them, and should have made more,
but I feared the stout broadcloth would
not match my flimsy gauze.
I am, Sir, with great respect,
Your very obed.t servt,
Catherine Hutton
