A proof sent to Mr.
Hatchard, Decr. 4th
Dec 4th 1812
Dear Sir
I have seen the prints from Mssrs
[Ludel & Davis?] but must own I am
a little disappointed at not being
favoured with a sight of the en-
graving from my dear Mother’s
picture which we are anxious
to see — if you can procure us
one I shall be much obliged to
you as we wish much to know
whether it is such a likeness as
we should like to go out into
the world — from the general
[page break]
merit of the work I think there
is little doubt of its being well
executed but still we should
like to have a specimen of the
portrait of my dear Mother —
I will send you a list of her
publications very shortly with
a brief account of her life & will
then return the two [numbers?] of
the works which Mssrs [Ludel & Davis?]
were so obliging as to send —
I am
Dear Sir
yrs sincerely
S Trimmer
